But also in the free version it is very useful and I use both programs for different websites. Harry, 4K Video Downloader is not freeware but freemium there is a paid personal premium license with less restrictions and a paid pro premium with leasts restrictions.
A 10 yo version of any of the many popular downloaders out there has a literally better interface than this software, particularly if you do not need the convert functionality. Since sites try to make it ever more difficult to download this could be very useful. I have the paid version. It is great at downloading files but I find rather too frequently the screen recorder function crashes before being able to save a recording. Which can be annoying when I have waited 20 minutes or an hour of screen recording time to find out I have lost having it. Often it does work perfectly but there are a lot of times it hasn't. Unsure what causes the issue of a screen recording to cause a crash when stopping a recording to save or just to stop anyway to then be able to change a setting.
